KDAS composite seal is A double-acting piston seal, consisting of three parts: an elastomer A, two supporting rings B, and two guiding rings C.
Elastomer A has A special section with three sealing lip against the cylinder wall (dynamic seal). The middle lip is thicker and ACTS as the main seal, while the other two lips act as the auxiliary seal. The bottom side is close to the bottom of the piston groove (static seal), and the contact surface is relatively large.
The supporting ring B is placed on both sides of A for positioning purpose. To support elastomer A and prevent radial seal clearance of A. The supporting ring B is in a stepped shape, and there are many convex blocks on the side in contact with the sealing element to prevent the sealing ring from rotating during operation.
The guide ring C is rectangular and is mounted on the piston to guide and absorb axial forces.
